RIA Lab

Radioimmunoassay (RIA) section of our laboratory is using state of the art automatic electrochemiluminescence analyzers i.e., Cobas e411 and Vitros ECi. RIA section of our lab is also using manual Radioimmunoassay technique for analysis of hormones i.e. fT3, fT4, TSH etc which is one of the most accurate analytic technique. RIA Section is performing a variety of assays including a wide range of hormonal assays such as T3 (Tri-iodothyronine), T4 (Tetra-iodothyronine), TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), fT3 (Functional tri-iodothyronine), fT4 (Functional Tetra-iodothyronine), Luteinizing Hormones (LH), Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Prolactin Hormone (PH), Progesterone Hormone, Testosterone, Estradiol, Tumor markers such as Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9), Carbohydrate antigen (CA-125), Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), AFP (Alfa feto Proteins, Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (ß-hCG), Thyroglobulin (TG), anti-thyroglobulin antibody (ATG), Anti thyroid peroxidase antibody (ATPO), Vitamin and minerals including Vitamin D, Ferritin

Cobas e411 is the backbone of RIA section. This analyzer works on latest Electrochemiluminescence principal which provides high sensitivity, reliability and reproducibility of results. Cobas e411 is a state-of-the-art multichannel analyzer that can perform assays at throughput of upto 86 tests per hour. Currently we are performing more than 25 parameters on Cobas e411. Intelligent sample workflow of this analyzer comes with carryover free pipetting, sample rerun capability, continuous random access and flexible STAT (Short Turnaround Time) priority settings. It uses unique reagent concept i.e., automatic QR code scanning of e-reagent pack eliminates any chance of error. Similarly, bar code of patient’s specimen vials automatically fetches patient’s data along with ordered tests.

Radioimmunoassay section of our laboratory is equipped with another immunodiagnostic system i.e., Vitros ECiQ from Ortho Clinical Diagnostics®, US. Enhanced Chemiluminescence technology delivers precise results with fever dilution requirements. Intellicheck technology provides quality results by eliminating carryover with systems disposable single use tip design. Upto 31 reagents positions and 60 samples per batch capacity provides high throughput i.e., upto 80 tests per hour as per the demand of institute. Reduce errors with automatic monitoring and real-time operator notification adds to confidence in quality of results. Integration of analyzer with HMIS minimize human handling and eliminates pre-analytic error risk.
